Wolf WFM1 - Wet Film Monitor

"Measure and monitor the wet build at the coater before and during production"
WFM1 works hand in hand with DFM1 to provide two important functions in managing the film build of coil coating lines:
Wet paint film at the coater prior to the commencement of painting means no need for sheen gauge track marks, and no loss of strip due to under or over thickness product from the start of every coil, and paint film monitoring during painting means that the coating can be applied precisely at specification. The usual tolerances for paint specifications can be significantly tightened. Using CCS will save up to 1 micrometre of paint and eliminate the prospect of out of spec. product. This means potential paint savings of up to 40,000 litres per 100,000 tonnes of annual coil coating capacity. Product claims due to out of spec. product will also be dramatically reduced.
The system works in combination with the paint volume solids instrument PVS1 so that the correct wet film build can be confidently specified. WFM1 is integrated with DFM1 to assure product film build compliance throughout every coil.
